I know a lot of Malaysians, at least once in their lives, forgot to renew the driving license before the expiry date. I was no exception. But take a close look at the picture. Can you see why I take this forgot-to-renew-driving-license as a strong proof that I’m starting to get old faster than everyone else?
PS: I was using a ‘dead license’ for eight months! And I was lucky for eight months! Not even a single traffic ticket (speed trap tayah cerita la, that’s another story…).
PPS: This time I decided to renew it for 5-years at RM150. I have four and a half years from today to be able to miss the expiry date. That’s better.

I am surprised that the car dealer did not request to see at least a valid driving license when you purchased the car when you test-drove it (you DID test drive the Lancer right?).
Also, your insurance agent for the car should also have insisted on checking to see if you had a valid license upon purchase of the policy!
Senang letak semua dalam calendar. Yes, Google controls my life now…

I bought the Lancer almost 2 years ago la, masa tu lesen hidup lagi… Hehehe…
But yup, none of the people you mentioned, insist to check my driving license… Being plain ignorant, as long as they can make more sales… Checking the driving license will surely restrict a few buyers to close the deals…
And no, I did not test drive the car hahahaha…. Sebab laku macam goreng pisang, even test-drive car pun orang beli jugak, macam mana aku nak test…
