My sister left for Alor Setar few days back, and we had to have a nursery for Imran. We decided long ago that we’ll put him in Petronas’ nursery, which looked good when we visited them.
We had to prepare a lot for him. My wife and I were in KL the whole weekend, sending my sister to the airport, as well as buying stuffs for us and also for Imran. One of the stuff we bought was a high chair. Imran seems to enjoy sitting on a high chair at a restaurant we went few days back, so we decided to get one for him at home. At less than RM30, IKEA’s high chair seems pretty good. Well, at least, he enjoys it!
He couldn’t even sit firmly few weeks ago, and now he can actually sit still for a certain period of time. How amazing.
“Pa, I’m all set. Where’s my Farley Rusks? No more Heinz please, I hate parsnip!”
And last night, we had to stay up beyond midnight to prepare his stuffs for ‘school’. We bought an embossed name marker at Giant and it’s pretty useful. Fussy, but functional. We marked every single thing that will be handed over to his nannies, so that they can easily find it. And of course, to avoid mix-match with others. More than 20 babies, aged below a year will be there. 5 nannies will surely have difficulties. Surely.
But somehow, we felt so, so childish doing this haha. Nampak sangat macam takut orang curi. Oh whatever. Menyesal dahulu pendapatan.
Haha. Like writing “Alif Lam Lam Ha, sapa curi berdosa!”
Even on the bag, right inside the whale’s head.
We thought these should be enough for a day. Apparently not.
Watching him grew up right in front of our eyes, it’s just amazing. From a silent sleeper, to a very active baby boy, made us realize how important Imran is to us. He’s our heart, he’s our soul. Neither the most expensive diamond in the world nor the biggest pearl in the ocean will be accepted in exchange of him. He means the world to me. He means the universe to my wife.
Grow up slowly, dear boy. I want to spend more time with you. I want to treasure every minute and second of your life. I hope I’ll be a better daddy everyday. And I really hope that you will someday think that no one on earth can ever replace me as your dearest daddy.
I love you.
PS: And you too, dear wife. I love you too. =) (Karang kata sayang anak lebih pulak…)
PSS: To my sister @ Imran’s ex-nanny @ Imran’s aunty, you did an undeniably excellent job of taking care of Imran for the past 6 months. Yes, you were paid, but you certainly did much better than what you were paid for. Thank you. Now we’re having serious problem putting him to sleep as he usually sleeps in your arms, every single night. Haih!
