• Apple iPhone 4

I was deadly interested with the revolutionary iPad by Apple, but from online reviews, it worth a little longer wait (at least, until Jobs decide to build an SD card slot for storage expansion).

But this, is just way too good to wait.

    Aaaahhhh….

PS: See more on Apple iPhone 4.

  • MUSIC & ME. AND MY BIKE.

A bike, a helmet, a pair of gloves, padded spandex and a pair of shoes for the magnificent ride from home to office (and back home in the evening). But still, something is missing. I have to cycle for about an hour to reach that 17.7km distance, and to fill the chilly morning emptiness, music is perhaps, the next best thing.

And here is another addition to my new addiction. It goes well with my laptop, too. From eBay at half the price of Malaysian Apple retailers, this is surely an excellent buy.

Great manufacturer gives great products. Nothing less than expectation, from Apple.

The ‘running Cover Flows’ is purely gimmick, but a nice addition from the previous version. So does the video camera. Yes, it takes videos, too.

  • MY MAC’S NEW LOOK

    DSC04320

Finally got my iPearl cover from eBay. Yay!

DSC04321But I surely hate the keypad protector. It’s free of charge. Can’t expect to much from free stuff, aight?

  • I WANT ONE !

MAC-OS-X-Snow-Photoshop-EditBetter. Faster. Easier. Next-generation technologies. More accessible than ever. Exchange support. The world’s most advance operating system.

These are the few advantages listed by Apple for their newly released Mac OS X Snow Leopard (v10.6). Very tempting to me, yet I have been using Leopard (v10.5.8) for just about 2-3 months. Surely, there are lots more to discover and to be learnt. But the temptation of the new OS has been haunting me in my sleep. For just US$29, it’s pretty much within range.

    PS: Should I?

  • ART TEXT 2

BML Image 3I was browsing cluelessly in Apple, looking for something I can download and play or whatever. I came across an application which I find pretty interesting, the Art Text 2. For those Photoshop users, average level and above, you can stop reading here, as you won’t be needing this.

The application provides a fun text editing for your headers. The good thing is, it’s not just text, you can even create or edit buttons, logos, shapes and more, depends on how creative you are. Then you can use your designs to beautify your desktop looks, presentation, weblog or even your website. Furthermore, it is much more lightweight compared to the heavy duty Photoshop, so you should expect a very fast response time. Of course, as it is lightweight, the features will never  be comparable to Photoshop. It’s for fun, remember? You can use the result in iWork, iWeb, Microsoft Office and various more test edit and web design programs.

I did a few myself, and found out that you can actually get a firm grip of this application within 15 minutes (not like Photoshop or Pixelmator, it seems like forever before you can actually discuss about creating a banner design flawlessly with your friends).

    BML

Unfortunately, it is only available for Mac (I can’t find any Windows version) and it will cost you US$39.95 to purchase the license. You can still use the free demo version throughout the years, but your design will have a silhouette background of the word ‘Trial’. Not too obvious though, but enough to distract you. This is where Pixelmator or Photoshop can help you out, but surely if you are proficient with these two, you won’t be needing Art Text anymore.

To conclude this, I would rather say the Art Text 2 is a good and fun application to have, but won’t be a must. So for the Windows users, don’t worry. It won’t feel that bad not to have it.

PS: I’m still way off from average in Adobe Photoshop, which is why I find this Art Text very interesting. Anyone willing to be my mentor in Photoshop?
