• 10 USEFUL RSS-TRICKS AND HACKS FOR WORDPRESS

10 Useful RSS-Tricks and Hacks For WordPress – Smashing Magazine | Noktah Hitam.

WHOA! It works! How amazing this is, and yet, so simple to do. Thanks to @Noktahhitam.

I applied the Press This function available in WordPress, where it allows you to capture the website’s link you’re visiting and directly post your blabbers about the website just by clicking Press This on your bookmarks bar, without opening another tab or window just to bring up your WordPress Dashboard. After you click Press This at the bookmark while you’re in the website you want to talk about, a new window will pop up and you can straight away start blogging about the web. The link is already attached and will be you post’s title. You can still change that anyway.

    PS: Cool!

  • WHY NUFFNANG DOESN’T WANT TO WORK HERE ?

    I have no idea.

  • HOW PROMISING IS ONLINE BUSINESS?

I’m trying to jump into business, and as far as I am concerned, making it online is the best way to gain more sales quickly. Perhaps. I don’t know. Very inexperienced. No business knowledge. Limited IT and Internet skills. But, if I don’t start, how am I going to get better in these?
I will start very soon. Small, indeed, but at least, better something than nothing. Even Usain Bolt started with a shaky first baby step, and got better and better up ’til today as the fastest man on earth.
Do I need a web developer, or should I do it myself?
    Should I try this?

  • BRILLIANT XTORRENT FOR MAC OS X

xtorrent LogoI have downloaded Xtorrent 1.1 v53 last night, and purchased the license for USD25. I thought I was silly doing that, but turned out it’s a good buy. The p2p software works great. Friendly user interface, nice layout and few other good stuffs. The only bad thing is the download speed rate. I’m not a geek, so don’t expect me to know whether the flaw of the software itself or is it because of the slow internet connection.

Overall, I like this so much. Better than LimeWire and Ares (these are the only softwares I’ve ever used).

PS: They said UseNext is crazily fast. Is it?

  • FARMING IN FACEBOOK

FacebookI’m not sure how the world takes it, but as for me, it’s a huge addiction now. At the office, lunch time, at home, putting baby to bed, dinner, driving. All the time, all the places, I must be online for the goodness of my farms =).

More than 30 million active users around the world for FarmVille monthly. Can’t really blame me for the addiction, can you?

FarmVille is by far, the best of all online farming applications. Much friendlier, better drop-down options, quick plowing and harvesting method and few other reasons make it my greatest addiction. Unfortunately, there is no option to hire your neighbours or other people online to work on your farm at a cost. It could’ve been perfect if that option is available. Or is it I’m the only one who can’t find a way to do it?

FarmVille view of my current farm. Nice isn’t it?

As for FarmTown, it’s layout kind of a bit ‘mature’ compared to FarmVille. You will need to select from the drop down menu everytime you click to harvest your crops, whether to harvest and store or harvest and sell. This slows you down a lot more than FarmVille, but what is good is you can spend a small amount of coins to hire people to harvest for you. Even though there is coins consumption, the crops harvested by others for you somehow have higher value in the market, which means you actually do an investment on hiring people. Spend some to gain more is better than spend nothing and gain less.

An aerial view of my raspberry farm in FarmTown. Oh crap, I forgot to harvest!

There are few other farming applications such like Barn Buddy, (lil) Farm Life, Sunshine Ranch etc. But none of them are as much fun as FarmVille and FarmTown.

Facebook is killing me softly with its applications!

p/s: Luckily, I have my own cubicle in my new office, not like an open desk in my previous office before. =)
